Zilo VPN Lite is a free, ad-supported VPN app. Each ad you choose to watch grants 1 GB and 1 hour — whichever runs out first. This policy covers the Lite app only; the paid Zilo VPN has its own policy.
No account
Lite has no sign-up. We never ask for an email address, phone number, name or Telegram account. We do not know who you are.
What the app sends us
- A device ID — a random number generated on your phone the first time you open the app. It is not the Google Advertising ID and not your IMEI or serial number; it contains nothing about your device. It disappears when you uninstall the app.
- Platform — the single word
androidorios.
That is the entire request. We do not read your contacts, photos, GPS location, or the list of apps installed on your device.
What we store on our servers
- The device ID and platform above
- Which server you are assigned to, and an internal key for you on that server
- How much data allowance is left, and when your access expires
- Your most recent IP address — we would rather state this plainly than bury it. It is kept solely as an abuse signal, to count how many new devices register from one address per day. It has nothing to do with browsing activity.
- When the record was created, and when it was last seen
What we never do
- We keep no browsing logs — we do not record the sites you visit
- We keep no DNS query logs
- We do not inspect or store the contents of your traffic
- We never sell any data
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Lite shows ads through Google AdMob. When an ad is served, Google may collect device identifiers, IP address and ad-related information under its own policies — see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
We request non-personalized ads for every ad slot in the app.
🔒 No ad is ever requested while the VPN is connected. Once the tunnel is up, your traffic leaves from our server, so an ad request would carry the server’s IP rather than yours. On the connected screen we therefore show only our own house card for Zilo VPN — no third-party request is made at all.
Verifying that an ad was watched
To grant the reward we use Google’s server-side verification. The app passes your device ID to Google, and Google sends our server a signed confirmation. This is what makes the reward trustworthy and stops it being claimed without watching anything.
Children
Zilo VPN Lite is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Retention and deletion
A daily job deletes anything older than the windows below automatically. You do not have to ask.
- IP address — 24 hours. It is used for exactly one thing: limiting how many new devices may register from one network per day. After 24 hours it serves no purpose, so it is erased from the record.
- A device that never watched a single ad — 7 days.
- A device not seen for 90 days — deleted, together with its account on the server.
- Ad reward receipts (the AdMob transaction ID) — 12 months.
Uninstalling the app removes the device ID from your phone, after which nothing links you to our record. To have the record deleted straight away, contact us below with your Support ID. You can find it in the app under Menu → About by tapping the “Version” line seven times — it is the same value as the device ID described above.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
